Propagating by soil:
Plant baby in regular potting mix. If it makes you more comfortable, you can add an amendment, such as pearlite, to make the soil more airy. You can also put multiple cuttings in one pot for the plant to look fuller. Make sure to keep the soil moist until the plant starts putting out new growth, then you can water only once the soil is completely dry. Keep the plant in bright, indirect sunlight.

Propagating by water:
Place only the roots into water. Make sure no leaves are below the surface, otherwise they will rot. Keep the plant in bright, indirect sunlight & change the water once a week to keep it fresh. Once the roots are substantial, you can pot your plant in a general indoor plant potting mix.
